Tim called me on Wednesday to ask me if I wanted to go to Sea World this weekend--I love surprises and California so of course I said yes, and we packed up the kids, rented an SUV, and drove 6 hours to California
The baby was amazing on the road, she did get car sick about an hour away from the hotel. I didn't even think about kids getting car sick, I guess that just another thing to add to the long long list of a mothers worries.
Our hotel was amazing we were about a block from the ocean, near the Gas Lamp District, and Sea Port Village. Tim and I stayed in this area when we were in San Diego for the GIS convention. I love San Diego.
Kiora our lovely little photographer
We completely forgot about the hour time difference because we normally go to California in the summer so we arrived at Sea World almost two hours early, I guess to look on the bright side we didn't have to pay $20.00 for parking.
The first time we went was last year but Kamryn was still a little little baby so I missed a lot of the shows changing her, or feeding her, or walking her to sleep, or going out to there car to get dry clothes for everyone, and a new pair of shoes for me because my sandal broke, so it was like going there for the first time for me.
We learned the hard way the difference between the wet zones and the soak zones, poor baby.
It was so much fun. The only sad part for me was the Journey to Atlantis ride was closed because it was still to cold, and being an adrenaline junkie I really wanted to ride that ride--I missed out the time before because the closed the ride right after Tim and Kiora got off, and the two wouldn't stop talking about how amazing it was
Sea World what a blast!
