Awesome Week long Vaction--For me anyways

For months I have been planning this amazing week long vacation, I scheduled off work three months in advanced, bought a few new outfits for everyone, cleaned my car--wow you know I’m serious if I'm cleaning my car. I didn't really know where we were going I just picked a week in the month to go on vacation, something we are trying to do every month, I’ll let you know how that goes.

It just so happened to be the exact same week my little brothers were graduating High School so our vacation spot--PIMA.

Now I haven't been to Hawaii yet, so I doubt this is saying much, but Pima is my favorite place to visit. I know it's silly because I grew up there, but honestly I love being there. It still feels like home to me.

We left Wednesday and when we arrived we went to Chris and Jordan's Graduation at 8 pm.

The next morning everyone was sick except for me. Sadly every time we go to Pima everyone gets sick and we don't know if it's allergies or what, so we used to go visit at least once a month now we rarely go because everyone is miserable there except for me of course.

Regardless of the sickness we still managed to have a little fun. We went out to eat, to the mountains, played in the rain, spent time with family, and my personal favorite a Harley ride up the mountains under the stars. Tim really needs his own Harley. His dad always teases him that the Harley is all his all he has to do is give him a grandson before his little brother. We tried, tried and tried again no luck. I think we will have a better chance saving our money and buying his own before we have a boy.

So it wasn’t exactly how I imagined my wonderful vacation, but we still had a great time.

Kams Not So Successful Flight Lesson

Today I let Kiora ditch school, so I could take the girls swimming. I know I'm so bad, but we had a blast and the most important things in life can not be found in books or behind a desk--sorry.

Of course I'm probably the only person who almost didn't graduate high school with a 4.0 because I ditched so much, and of course my perfect husband had perfect attendance so shh it's our little secret.

Kamryn loves loves loves the water and most of all jumping into the pool. I regret now that I didn't let Kylee catch her in the pool, because a soft water landing would have been a lot less detrimental.

So after hours of fun we sadly had to leave so I could go to work, but I still had about half an hour so I started a craft for the girls while I was in the office cutting out the crafts I hear the most horrific cry and I run into the kitchen to find Kams on the floor.

I quickly scooped her up and started to examine her--see all those years working in hospitals and hours and hours of pre-med paid off even though I know I don't want to be a doctor anymore.

I tried to get the story from Kylee and the poor thing is just blubbering away "she fell, she fell. she hit her head"

It's so funny how things never go wrong when you are prepare and ready for them they always like to sneak up on you, and that this happened while I was with her because I'm am so over protective and Tim is constantly having to remind me to relax and let them be kids. I'm just glad they aren't little dare devils like I was although it looks like Kamryn is headed that way.

I call Tim and tell him I need him to rush home so I can take the baby to the hospital. He's always there to do the rescuing, don't let the glasses fool you he's a genuine hero. To bad he doesn't have his flying down yet because he's still an hour drive away--everyday I find more and more reasons to regret moving to Maricopa.

I call into work and when Tim gets home we rush her to the er in Chandler and she is seen within 20 minutes--um that a lot better than the five hours we spent in Saffords ER when Tim's appendix burst and he had to be flown to Tucson--we could have saved the $13,000 air vac and driven to Tucson three times.

Here is my adorable baby just sitting quietly on my lap smiling, and the doctors thought I was being a paranoid freak. As a health care professional she really wasn't portraying any signs of concern, no bumps or bruises, no vomit, no rapid heart rate, or elevated respiration, no concussion nothing but as a mother I knew something was terribly wrong and because I didn't actually see what happened I had to be certain she was ok. I insisted on an x-ray and poor little Kams has a broken collarbone.

The doctor was in shock to see the x-rays and although it was terrible news I was relieved to know it wasn't more serious.

Later Kylee confessed to putting her on the counter and trying to get her to jump to her--I'm guessing because I wouldn't let her catch her in the pool.

Kam's first attempt to fly was a definite crash and burn.
